Self assesment- Final Exam project

In all honesty, I did most of the work. I put in more time than anyone, and most nights i didnt sleep till at least after midnight. Ryan hardly did anything and Mandy was ready to give up, not to mention the whole time she was trying to convince us to pick a diffrent product.
I feel like I was the only person who took this assignment seriously. Ryan and Mandy were constanly off topic, and didnt stick to the story board while filming. They had no clue what they were doing, and didnt bother to ask. It may seem like i was controlling but really, they were the ones trying to call all the shots. I might as well of had duck tape over my mouth. They were constantly slacking, and i was constantly picking it up. Mandy was supposed to make the costume but made up excuses when she showed up empty handed.
The weather made filing diffucult as well as the locations. It took 'us' four days to final get a hold of a church that would let us film in their chappel, and by 'us' i mean me.
This was the most frustrating project of my life, and im glad it is over with. I have done way more than i should have, concidering the rest of my group harldy put any effort forth. I just dont want other people getting credit for my hard work and dedication. Overall I am happy with the end results of our project.

My daily Log- Final Exam project

Day 1: Assigned tasks for individuals and as a group. Planned and made jot notes for all assignments. i focused on the tv commercial.

Day 2: We planned the tv commercial. basically Ryan and mandy added onto my ideas. We came to an agreement on the back story for the movie. We continued planning, in more detail. I designed the shots and angles for each scene as well as designing the story board.

Day 3: First day of filming. I filmed some scenes and acted. I took one for the team and slid face first in the mud. I reviewed the footage and organized it scene by scene.

Day 4: Together we wrote out the radio add and the summory. Ryan and Mandy called it a day pretty early. I went to the cemetary to film, and get photos for the print add and product container (movie case). I designed the print ad, cd label, logo, and the product container (movie case). Needless to say, it was a long day for me.

Day 5: We finshed filming. I did most of the editing, designed the wild card ad, and wrote the rough copy of the playlist and rational. Today was all about finishing touches.

Thursday at lunch i finished my self assesment and daily log. In class we finish our raido ad.

#40 one thing I learned

I have learned many things over the last few months, but the most important thing that i will take with me is that nothing is an accident, everything is planned in the media.

#37 gender ads

I think that gender ads are sexist and sterotypical. Showing the man as a dominate figure and putting women is rediculous possions is a slap in the face to the history of womans rights and what we have been working towards. It's 2012, lets get with the times and advertise equality.
